 Honey jar trap

Ransomware attack detection software

About us:

Topsys is engaged in bringing you protection against ransomware.

Topsys is the first to bring you a program that can detect when a ransomware attack on your computer is happening.

You simply add some trap files at some different locations on your computer. And when one of these files is altered or deleted, you are under attack.

You can choose to be notified by e-mail and or to shut down the computer automatically.

We have technology that let’s us store info, that will not be affected bij a ransomware attack. Therefore we can easily see if files have been altered or deleted.

The attacker cannot fool the Honey jar trap program.

By using a naming convention it is easy for the user to reckognize a trap file, so that the user will not accidently alter or delete these files.

The Honey jar trap program comes with a comprehensive subtitled searchable help video.

Both the Honey jar trap program and the help video subtitles are available in multiple languages. And if your language is not available you or anybody can create their own translation and share this.

We are also working hard on a backup program that will allow you to create backups on your local drive that would be safe from ransomware attacks.

But besides a backup system you also need to know when you are being targeted by a ransomware attack. And that is where our Honey jar trap comes in.

Honey jar trap:

A ransomware attack is basically a virus that attacks your computer (or network). But ransomware attacks are much cleverer than a regular virus.

A virus will immediately start to do it’s evil deed, where as a ransomware virus will wait for a certain date and time. When the next ransomware virus comes it is different enough so that it will not be reconized by anti virus software.

An anti virus program, uses what is known as the fingerprint method. Certain pieces of code will only be found in a certain virus. But as this changes with each new ransomware virus, the fingerprint method will not work.

What will work however is a plain trap.

The people behind ransomware attacks are simply old fashioned pirates.

Pirates will rob you blind:

All they care about is money, they do not care at all about the suffering and heartship their actions cost.

Lightning doesn't strike twice:

Perhaps lightning doesn’t strike twice, but these pirates will most definately strike twice if you let them.

It becomes easier by the minute to become a computer pirate:

In the early days computer pirates had to code a virus. But nowadays, these pirates can get a ‘master virus’ for free on the dark web. They tweek this virus a little bit (manual on how to do this is, is included) and all it costs them is a percentage of the revenue. It actually is a business model.

In the old days you could see pirates coming, they would even carry a special flag.

Nowadays they can attack you from all over the world and all they need is access to your computer. In stead of a flag they have special links that they want you to click on.

It is our mission to help everyone who has been a target of a ransomware attack.

Right now we are focussing on getting our software out to as many users as possible.

Money comes second, but support is always welcome.
